Chris Brown Back In Virginia, Is Community Service Next?

Chris Brown is back in his home state of Virginia.

Paparazzi captured the singer in sunglasses, a baseball cap and a baseball-style jacket walking through an airport in his home state on Monday.

Brown will serve the 180 days of community labor he was sentenced to, which was part of his plea agreement in Los Angeles Superior Court for assaulting Rihanna earlier this year, in his home state. It was not clear at press time if he had returned home to begin that service.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, in addition to the six months of labor, Brown must also spend a year in domestic violence counseling.

The Associated Press previously reported he would undergo the counseling at Commonwealth Catholic Charities, which serves Southern Virginia.

In related Brown news, CNN has released a new clip of Larry King’s interview with the singer, which is set to air on the network on Wednesday evening.

In the clip, after Brown told King he did not feel like a violent person, the talk show host asked the singer, “What happened to you?”

“Well, Larry, I’d just say, I guess that night — it’s just one of the nights I wish I could just take back… and I really regret [it] and I feel totally ashamed of what I did,” Brown said.

When King asked if Brown feels like he is “looking at someone else” in regards to the incident and resulting media coverage, the singer said that he does.

“Yes, from the outside looking in; When you see you’re on TV, when they’re saying this, when they’re saying that,” he said.

On Monday evening, Brown defended himself after the first clip of his interview on “Larry King Live” made headlines, which showed the singer replying to King with a “No,” when asked whether he remembers beating Rihanna.

In his statement, released to Access on Tuesday night, Brown said he misspoke after King asked him the same question for the fourth or fifth time.

“The first four times – or how ever many times it was – I gave the same answer – which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said, ‘No,’” Brown said in his statement.

Brown added that he does indeed remember the incident that sent Rihanna to the hospital; however, he also referred to it as “a blur.”

“Of course, I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur,” his statement continued. “And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am.”

When contacted by Access, Ryan Jimenez, spokesman for “Larry King Live” said, “The interview will air in its entirety on Wednesday and will clearly stand on its own.”
