Chris Brown Charged With Two Felonies

Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies over his alleged incident with Rihanna, including assault and making criminal threats, Access Hollywood has learned.

According to a felony complaint issued by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, Brown has been charged with one count each of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and making criminal threats against Robyn F., believed to be short for Robyn Fenty, Rihanna’s real name.

Due to victim’s rights, Rihanna has not been named publicly.

The alleged incident occurred “on or between” February 7 and February 8, 2009.

“It is further alleged that the threatened crime, on its face and under the circumstances in which it was made, was so unequivocal, unconditional, immediate and specific as to convey to ROBYN F. a gravity of purpose and an immediate prospect of execution,” the complaint reads. “It is further alleged that the said ROBYN F. was reasonably in sustained fear of his/her safety and the safety of his/her immediate family.”

Brown is scheduled to appear in court after 3:30 PM on Thursday.

The complaint additionally notes that if convicted, Brown must produce DNA samples and print impressions. The maximum sentence Brown could serve if convicted on both charges is four years and eight months.

The singer was previously arrested, booked and released on $50,000 bail.
