Christie Brinkley Dishes On The ‘Adventure’ Of Broadway & Receiving Performance Advice From Billy Joel

She’s conquered the runway, is preparing to launch her own skin care line, and now, 57-year-old supermodel Christie Brinkley is taking Broadway by storm playing Roxie Hart in “Chicago” – and she’s loving every minute of it.

“I’m having such a great time… she is so much fun to play,” a beaming Christie told Billy Bush of her exciting new stage engagement in a New York City interview on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live. “I do eight shows a week. It is so much fun! I’m loving this adventure in life.”

Christie revealed she received some helpful theatrical advice from a close and highly respected source – her ex-husband, music legend Billy Joel.

“The second he heard that I was doing this he said, ‘Make sure you get lessons to project your voice because you’ve really got to get it to the back of the room’” she told Billy, of the “Piano Man’s” imparted wisdom. “So, yeah, I’ve been taking singing lessons and dancing lessons.”

As for how she stays in such incredible shape, the beautiful blonde – who is currently “single, but interviewing!” — offered her secrets for maintaining youth.

“Be a vegetarian, go organic, dance, sing at the top of your lungs,” she told Billy. “These are all things I think are so good for you.”
