Christina Aguilera Talks Turning 30, Reveals ‘Love Of [Her] Life’

In the wake of her divorce, Christina Aguilera doesn’t feel alone. In fact, she’s spending everyday with the “love of her life.”

The “Burlesque” beauty stopped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday – for an interview which will air on Friday – to talk about her busy career, turning 30 and life at home as a newly single mom.

“Is that good that you have other things to distract you and help you get through this [divorce]?” Ellen asked Christina of her busy schedule.

“It is, but my focus first and foremost is my son, Max. More power to single moms and those out there doing it. I was raised by a single mom,” Christina said. “At the end of the day, he’s the love of my life. I adore him and he’s such a character. He’s so happy at the end of the day, that’s what’s most important.

As she continues to adjust to life at home without ex-husband Jordan Bratman, from whom the singer filed for divorce last month after five years of marriage, Christina said she’s looking forward to what’s ahead – specifically, a very special milestone.

“How do you feel about turning 30?” Ellen asked Christina, whose birthday is December 18.

“It’s better than turning 20, I’ll tell you that!” Christina revealed. “You’re more comfortable in your own skin as a woman. You have a better idea of what you want and how to get it. At this time in my life, it’s a huge turning point, it’s a transitional stage and I’m ready. I’m ready.”

Ellen also helped get Christina in the birthday spirit, as she wheeled out a giant cake, along with two burlesque dancers.

And inside the cake? A shirtless man with a rose for the superstar.
