A new government task force has released new guidelines for mammograms, claiming that most women should start getting the test every two years starting at age 50 – instead of the previously recommended age of 40.

Notable breast cancer survivors along with America’s most acclaimed physicians, wellness experts and spiritual healers have joined together to share their advice in “Breast Cancer: The Path of Wellness & Healing,” a groundbreaking new DVD.

Melissa Etheridge, Christina Applegate, Jaclyn Smith and Sheryl Crow are among those sharing their personal cancer stories in the DVD, proceeds of which benefit breast cancer charities.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the W Hotels of New York, W Hoboken, W Los Angeles-Westwood and W San Francisco along with Lee Denim and the Entertainment Industry Foundation have joined in the fight against breast cancer with the creation of a new philanthropic package, Share Your Heart.

Christina Applegate On Surviving Breast Cancer & Helping Others

Christina Applegate was radiant on the Emmy red carpet earlier this month, but it was just 18-months ago when the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.

And in a new interview with Access Hollywood’s Laura Saltman, Christina shed new light on the decision that saved her life.

Paula Abdul may make an appearance after all on “So You Think You Can Dance?,” her former boss, ex-“American Idol” producer Nigel Lythgoe, Tweeted on Friday.
