CLARIFICATION: Larry King’s Comment About Watching His ‘Bentley’ Being Driven ‘Over A Cliff’ Aimed At Leaving CNN Show, Not Piers Morgan

Larry King may still have mixed emotions over leaving his long-running CNN show, “Larry King Live,” but the renowned TV talker doesn’t hold any ill will towards his successor – Piers Morgan.

During an interview with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Access Hollywood Live on Thursday, Billy asked Larry his thoughts on having left his CNN show.

“We did 25-and-a-half years there. I’ve been in the business for 54 years,” Larry replied. “It’s mixed emotions, it really is. Some days, I just want to be there. Some days, I’m so glad I’m not. It’s like watching your mother-in-law go over a cliff in your new Bentley.

“What do you say? The agony and the ecstasy,” Larry added, noting his mixed emotions over leaving the show.

AccessHollywood.com would like to clarify that Larry was not referring to Piers Morgan when he said, “It’s like watching you mother-in-law go over a cliff in your new Bentley,” he was referring to leaving his show.

Three months removed from stepping away, Larry admitted he’s still adjusting to his new life off camera.

“There are days, when you have a terrible thing, like Japan happening, Libya, the events in Egypt, you want to be there,” the talk show legend added. “The Kardashians, you could miss that one.”
