CMA Awards Preview: 5 Things We Can’t Wait To See!

The 49th Country Music Association Awards are
just hours away and we can’t wait for the big show!

Access Hollywood is in Nashville as the clock counts down
to country music’s biggest night and here are the top 5 things we can’t wait
for:

The Opening Number

Access sat down with CMA Awards co-hosts Brad Paisley and
Carrie Underwood on Tuesday as they prepped for the event (this will be the
eighth consecutive show they’ve hosted together), and while the superstars
couldn’t reveal too much, they told Access guest correspondent Scott Evans that
viewers are not going to want to miss “one second” of the opening
number. So make sure your TV is on and ready to go tonight!

The Performances

We were inside Bridgestone Arena for top secret rehearsals
on Tuesday, and we can safely say country music fans will not be disappointed.
As Brad told us, “You’ll be blown away by the production value.”

The Fashion

Carrie is known for her numerous wardrobe changes, and
this year will be no different. While Brad joked that he’s not even going to
try to keep up with Carrie’s glam looks (he’ll stick with “largely Boot
Barn apparel”), Carrie said she’s “really excited” about her CMA
Awards fashion. The “Smoke Break” singer also revealed she has one
dress that’s “made of denim and is really beautiful.” (When we hear “denim
dress” we can’t help but reminisce over Britney Spears and Justin
Timberlake’s 2001 matching denim ensembles!)

Justin Timberlake

This one just stands on its own. JT. We are beyond
thrilled that JT will be attending and performing with Chris Stapleton! He’ll
be seated next to his longtime pals Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and we’re
sincerely hoping that the three of them will bust out a little “Backstage
at the CMAs, my d**k in a box” three-part harmony… just sayin’…

The Jokes

With the string of recent A-list divorces (Blake Shelton
and Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire’s split, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale,
etc.) and the current political scene, Brad and Carrie said they’ve had an
amazing amount of material to pull jokes from. The two superstars told us they’re
“equal opportunity” jokers when it comes to political parties and
everyone will be a target!

Don’t miss the 49th Country Music Association
Awards tonight at 8/7c on ABC.
