Coachella 2011 Kicks Off With Paris Hilton, Katy Perry & ‘Glee’ Guys In Attendance

The desert started rocking Friday night and Hollywood came knocking!

The first day of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2011 kicked off in Indio, Calif., on Friday and many of Hollywoods biggest stars turned out.

Music heavy-hitters including Kings of Leon, Cee Lo Green, Interpol, Robyn, Lauryn Hill, Brandon Flowers, The Chemical Brothers and Sleigh Bells turned out crowd pleasing sets that included the likes of Katy Perry, Usher and Paris Hilton, who were spotted in the sea of fans.

During DJ Afrojack’s set Paul McCartney was spotted on stage dancing with girlfriend Nancy Shevell and Usher.

Kelly Osbourne appeared to be still adjusting the crowd, Tweeting on Friday, “I’m in hipster hell that’s right I’m at coachella!”

Other stars took to Twitter as they made the trek from Los Angeles to the music festival.

“Feelin so pumped blastin the entirety of What’s The Story Morning Glory at 3am, en route to Coachella with @iharryshum @chordoverstreet,” “Glee” star Darren Criss wrote, referring to playing Oasis’ second record in the car with his co-stars on his hit FOX series.

And some expressed their frustration for not being able to join the party in Indio.

“whatEVER Coachella people, i am having the BEST time in this hotel room alone dancing to my.. oh man.. i give up… i am so jealous. balls,” actress Olivia Wilde Tweeted.

Kate Walsh attempted to stay positive, writing, “Hey Coachella, have fun, signed the only person left in Los Angeles”

On Saturday night, Rihanna and Kellan Lutz were spotted walking around the Armani / 944 Neon Carnival.

In the VIP area, a young kid spottetd Usher and told him, “I love you Kanye!”

Usher smiled and told him, “I wish I was Kanye.”

Coachella Day 2 will include performances by Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, Scissors Sisters, Erykah Badu, Cage the Elephant and Animal Collective.
