Corbin Bleu’s Dancing With The Stars Blog: Redemption In The Ballroom!

Former “High School Musical” star-turned-“One Life To Live” star Corbin Bleu joins AccessHollywood.com as our behind-the-scenes celebrity blogger for this season’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

Here is his latest post…

Redemption feels so good!

After our lowest scores of the season for our Viennese Waltz, and a very scary week of changing choreography till the last minute, we managed to score two 10s and a 9 for our Cha Cha, our highest score yet!

We’re still working towards that golden perfect score! Len has been the only one holding out on us. Maybe we can do it with Cher as our guest judge this week 🙂 And can we talk about that for a second?!

How cool is it that we get to perform in front of a performing legend! Not to mention the goddess is also performing herself, and all of our dances are to her songs!

Karina and I are dancing the Argentine Tango to a song from the movie “Burlesque.” It’s slinky, sexy, intimate, and yet showy and razzle-dazzle.

The challenge this week has been balancing my crazy schedule with having to rehearse 4, yes 4, dances! We have our Argentine Tango, as well as working on a Cha Cha, a Rumba, and a Disco for the Dance Off Challenge, where we may end up doing one of those dances going head to head against another couple.

It’s slightly disheartening to know that we are putting in all this hard work to perfect dances that we won’t even get to perform, but I’m still enjoying learning them. This week, I’ve also been continuing working on our campaign on Indiegogo.com for our anti-bullying film “The Day I Died.” I really want to make this film. The message behind it is so important for this generation and the growing epidemic of bullying paired with suicide. It’s a problem I would love to help make a difference with. I was also part of a film presentation this week and somehow still added throwing my annual Halloween bash into the mix.

I didn’t get much sleep the night of the party of course, and was paying for it the next day, but it was a success! We had a great turn out and there were some pretty epic costumes! Ciroc sponsored us for the drinks and Buca di Beppo provided an awesome spread!

My favorite part of the night though was seeing my girlfriend in a full-on body paint tiger costume to go with my ring master costume! It took two days for her to fully get the paint off, but it turned out so well it was worth it!

So after a packed week, I now just need to focus on rocking our dance!

Oh, did I mention I tweaked my neck doing an intense lift with Karina. I’m going through a ton of Icy Hot, but if we pull off this lift, a stiff neck won’t stop me from smiling!
