Courtney Love: My Addiction Is ‘The Size Of The Incredible Hulk’ (Exclusive)

In the wake of the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Courtney Love has opened up to Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez about her efforts to stay sober.

“[I’ve] been clean and sober since 2005,” the 49-year-old rocker/actress told Liz.

The death of the Oscar winner, who was a close friend of one of Courtney’s friends, was alarming to the singer.

“Those of us that are addicts, you know, it’s like, I do all this spiritual hygiene, I chant and do yoga and stuff, like that, but out in the parking lot, there is my addiction doing sit-ups the size of the Incredible Hulk.”

When she heard about Hoffman’s death, Courtney broke down.

“I just cried and cried. One of my best friends is his best friend and I really liked him… I mean, it’s just so bad,” she explained.

Courtney – whose new web series premieres on Endemol Beyond on February 14 — also opened up about her relationship with daughter Francis Bean, whose father is the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

”Oh it’s fantastic,” she said of their current relationship. “It’s one of the reasons that I’m moving back here, so I’m close to her. She’s in a really good space.”

As for their past “epic” fallout, Courtney blames her daughter’s past legal team.

“She has a trust fund, trust funds attract lawyers, and lawyers attract problems and that’s just reality,” she explained.

The singer is also mending fences with Dave Grohl, who she has had conflicts with over the use of Nirvana’s music in the wake of Cobain’s death.

“Well, we’re gonna go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I think we’re all sitting at the same table.” Courtney said. “I plan on wearing this dress that’s made of tissue paper and I think I’m going to pretend I have a crown on my head and I have to be totally regal.”
