J.R. Martinez scooped the “Dancing with the Stars” mirrorball last season and weighing in on Season 14’s competition, he gave Access Hollywood his three picks for the top.
“Donald Driver was my early favorite,” J.R. told Access Hollywood as he attended the White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend. “Katherine Jenkins has come out of nowhere and she’s pretty much surprising everybody and William Levy’s doing a great job, but it’s tough.”
The Army hero offered some advice for the contenders remaining in the competition.
“I think the biggest thing is just continue to have fun and continue to work hard and stay cool,” he said.
J.R. is trying to stay cool himself, but he can’t contain his enthusiasm for his baby on the way.
In December, the former “All My Children” actor revealed he and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting their first child this spring.
“This dinner’s a pretty big deal. [I said to myself], ‘Let me go to the dinner and I’ll be mindful of my phone and God forbid something happens, I’m going home, first thing!’ [My] flight is tomorrow,” the star said of returning home. “So hopefully, she’s been doing well, so far. Hopefully she holds off.”
