Dancing Judge Len Goodman On Keeping His Recent Nuptials A Secret From The Guests!

“Dancing with the Stars” judge Len Goodman got married a few months ago to his longtime love, Sue, and he explained on Friday’s Access Hollywood Live how he and his partner were able to keep the secret from their wedding guests.

“We were away… and it was coming up to Christmas,” Len told co-hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover of how it all started — with an impromtu proposal. “I said, ‘You know what we could do? We could get married.’”

After deciding to tie the knot, the pair invited 30 guests for a nice lunch. They finally disclosed the true nature of the event after having the guests come upstairs to the restaurant for the surprise wedding.

“It started at 2, finished at 5… Lovely lunch, all my friends… If I get married again, which I never will, I would do it like that,” he said.

There was one person other than the bride and groom who knew, though.

“I had to tell my mum. She’s 96. I thought I had to tell her or she’ll faint or something,” Len said.

His recent wedding was the “DWTS” judge’s second.

“I got married when I was 28 and I got married when I was 68,” he said.

Len’s first marriage was to his dance partner.

“You end up getting married, but of course when you stop dancing… once that’s done, there’s very little in common,” Len said of how that relationship ended. “The connection was dancing and we’re still friends. She married a multimillionaire lives in Monaco and she’s got a lovely apartment… And a maid’s apartment, but no maid, they invite me down [to stay there]!”
