‘Dancing With The Stars’: The Latest Elimination & Nick Carter Baby News

“Dancing with the Stars” said goodbye to one
contender and announced some very happy news for another on Monday’s show.

(Spoiler alert! This story reveals who was sent home on
“DWTS.”)

The theme of Monday’s show was honoring influential figures
in the lives of the celebrity contestants, and as Andy Grammer’s journey on the
show was meant to honor his late mother, it was fitting that his last dance was
inspired by her. Andy and his partner Allison Holker were eliminated.

“It’s actually kind of fitting that I would leave
tonight after getting to really… honor her through dance,” Andy said.

“It’s been a really sweet process to help me kind of
grieve through it. She’s been amazing,” Andy added of his partner, Allison. “I’ve
got a lot of awesome friends out of this and you all have been very lovely to
me.”

The performer got to go out on a high. He and Allison were
triumphant in the second round of competition during the evening, which pitted
them opposite Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold in a samba dance off. While he
didn’t have all the samba moves down, Andy impressed the judges by winging it a
little, and even throwing in a few moves that he showed off again after his
elimination.

“I’m going out on a handspring, which is kind of
bada**,” Andy said before performing the acrobatic move once again,
followed by a little worm action.

The big winners of the night, though, were Nick Carter, his
pro-partner Sharna Burgess, and Nick’s wife, Lauren. On the show, Nick
officially confirmed that he and Lauren are expecting (she is 16 weeks along).
And, after his perfect scoring contemporary routine (in honor of his beloved
wife), Nick and Lauren found out the sex of their child live on air.

Erin opened a giant glittered box in the show’s skybox,
which revealed blue balloons, a symbol that Nick and Lauren are having a boy.

The evening was filled with plenty of great performances,
including a paso doble from Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy that earned them
28 points. Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough churned out a fun foxtrot that netted
them the same score.

Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson, who at the end of the
night were put in the “in jeopardy” group before Andy was sent home,
did well too. They earned 27-points for their salsa, and picked up an
additional two points for the America’s Choice Round, where they bested
Bindi and Derek in a side by side jive.
