Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars Recap — A New Frontrunner Emerges

There’s a new belle of the “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” ballroom.

On Monday, Sabrina Bryan, who won her spot in the competition following the fan vote, proved she more than deserved her place dancing with professional toe-tapper Louis van Amstel, as the pair rocketed to the top of the leaderboard with a score of 26 out of 30 points.

After recovering from a fall during rehearsals for their competition quickstep earlier in the week, the duo put on a powerful performance that left judge Carrie Ann Inaba screaming with excitement.

“That was ridiculous,” Carrie Ann said after raising her voice in a cheer, praising the ballroom beauty on her body lines. “It was awesome.”

Just a half a point behind the couple were Gilles Marini and Season 14 winner (with Donald Driver) Peta Murgatroyd, landing them in second place for the second week in a row. They earned 25.5 out of 30 for a sexy and thrilling jive, despite Gilles strained abductor muscle in his thigh.

“It’s so much fun watching you dance,” Carrie Ann raved of the pair’s performance, which included a short solo from the handsome hunk, who sported a pompadour for the occasion.

“I’m seeing a little John Travolta thing happening here and it’s quite enjoyable,” she added.

With this being the “All-Star” season, the couple who landed third on the leaderboard was only half a point behind Gilles and Peta – gymnast Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough.

Shawn and Derek were the highest placing former mirrorball champs on Monday, and they earned their third place finish with a jive judge Bruno Tonioli branded, “vibrant, exhilarating [and] eye-popping.”

It even left Carrie Ann dubbing the pair, “The ‘All-Star’ Sweethearts.”

The rest of the pack fell between 21 and 24.5 points, with the exception of Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, who landed at the bottom of the leaderboard with just 18 points for the night.

Bristol and Mark tried out a quickstep to “Redneck Woman” (Bristol sported some Daisy Dukes), but were told by the judges they broke the rule for not staying in the hold position throughout the dance, costing them dearly in points.

“You slammed us in the face by saying I’m not gonna follow your rules, so guess what, slam back,” Carrie Ann said before the judges unveiled their low scores – just 6 points each. “But, I love watching you perform now.”

One celeb and their partner will be eliminated on Tuesday’s “DWTS,” kicking off at 8/7c on ABC.
