‘Dancing’s’ Derek Hough Headed To ABC’s ‘Nashville’

“Nashville” is about to get hotter. Derek Hough is heading to the ABC drama.

ABC confirmed the news to AccessHollywood.com on Friday.

The “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer will play a character called Noah West. People.com described the character as “a 20-something movie star,” who interacts with the show’s characters when he gets a gig to play a “famous country singer” in a biopic. The role is a multi-episode arc, according to the mag’s website.

As “DWTS” fans know, Derek is very musically inclined. He performed with the Ballas Hough Band (his group with Mark Ballas) on “Dancing,” previously.

It sounds like it will be a busy fall for Derek. The five-time mirrorball champ will also compete on Season 19 of “Dancing.”
