Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson & Rupert Grint Bid Farewell To ‘Harry Potter’

The wizards and witches are getting emotional!

The epic “Harry Potter” series draws to a close on Friday when “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows — Part 2” opens in theaters around the world and the stars are finding themselves bewitched by their last moments with the franchise that they’ve spent half their life making.

“It is pretty emotional,” Daniel Radcliffe told Access Hollywood at the New York City premiere on Monday night. “It’s been 10 years of our lives and so the fact that it’s now coming to an end is just slightly surreal really, I mean, we never thought it would end.”

Emma Watson identified with her longtime co-star and friend.

“I’m feeling kind of emotional. Actually, it’s pretty intense,” she told Access. “The reception [from the fans] is just incredible. I mean really, really amazing and I’m just like so excited.”

With “Potter” at its end, Emma is moving on to new projects, including the upcoming big screen adaptation of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” Additionally, Emma plans to continue her studies.

“I’m going to be doing English for a year at Oxford and I’m just excited to go home,” the 21-year-old beauty explained of her new scholarly home after leaving Brown University recently.” I’m just excited to get back to studying… It’s going to be great.”

The third part of the “Potter” trifecta, Rupert Grint, was also feeling swept away by the moment at Monday night’s premiere.

“It’s been a quite emotional few days,” he told Access. “It’s just so great to kind of experience this again and this is the last time, so it’s quite special.”

Alan Rickman, who plays the always-stellar Professor Severus Snape, explained that he’s enjoyed watching the three stars grow into young adults.

“They are three remarkably sensitive, intelligent and hard working young people,” he said of the “Potter” stars. “That might not have been the case, I think what you don’t know is how lucky we were.”
