Danielle Staub Breaks Silences On Teresa Giudice’s Prison Sentence

Former “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Staub was on the receiving end of Teresa Giudice’s infamous table flip, but now Danielle is reaching out to her former soon-to-be jailed “Housewives” co-star offering her support.

“I wanted to be here with a message from my daughters and myself [to Teresa.] Your kids are really all that’s important right now. Don’t worry about what everybody else is thinking, don’t worry about social media, don’t worry about the press,” Danielle told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live. “Just live your life and know that whatever is behind you is done and you only have the future ahead of you. And this is not a lot of time that you’ll be away from them, but it’s going to be painful.”

Danielle shared a message from one of her daughters to Teresa and Joe’s oldest daughter, Gia, in the wake of the news that the “RHONJ” star was sentenced to 15 months behind bars for conspiracy and bankruptcy charges and husband Joe received 41 months jail time.

“And my message for Gia from my daughter Christine… she said, ‘You know, I can relate to what she has in front of her. She’s the oldest and she’s going to be responsible for so much more, but just tell her that, you got this Gia and you’re strong and your mom will be back soon enough. And all of you just remember you’re a family. Nobody can break that,'” Danielle said.

But has Danielle made up with Teresa, who famously called Danielle a “prostitution whore” during Season 1 of the Bravo series?

“No, we have not made amends, this is just who I am,” she told Billy and Kit. “I don’t believe you kick somebody when they are down. Just because they might have kicked you, doesn’t give me the right to do the same in return. Then when does it end? It’s just a vicious cycle… it’s coming from my heart. I’m genuinely reaching out to her and giving her support. This is a very hard time she is going through.”

Danielle is hoping this will open a dialogue between her and her one-time on-air nemesis.

“I’m sure we will get on the phone. It’s been five years. I haven’t spoken to any of them. There were times I was hoping she would reach out to me as well in the past, but that didn’t happen,” she explained. “I don’t really hold a grudge about any of the things that happened… I want Teresa to know that she can reach out to me, I have no ulterior motive.”

Billy and Kit also pressed Danielle about a Tweet that she reTweeted after Teresa’s sentencing.

Danielle previously reTweeted, “@FamilyIsLoyalty: Ohhhh @daniellestaub dontcha frigin LOVE karma baby!!!!!!!” Yup,” something she said wasn’t meant to be shady.

“There was someone who Tweeted me and I said, ‘Yup.’ That was the only thing I said in this whole span and it was a about karma,” she explained when Billy and Kit asked what she meant with her social media message. “Karma came back. There was a lot I could have done on Twitter, if I wanted to. There was plenty on Twitter that I could have [done], but when I saw that it was just one of my fans, reaching out to me, I just said, ‘Yup,’ and how that was received, I realized maybe it’s going to be misunderstood, if I say anything. So, I just went quiet.”

Danielle ended the interview with a direct-to-camera message to her former co-star.

“Teresa, from my heart, I love you girl. You got this,” she said.

Teresa is ordered to surrender on January 5, 2015. Joe will begin serving his sentence after his wife, so that a parent will be able to remain with their four daughters.

The couple will appear on “Watch What Happens Live” for a second installment of their first post-sentencing interview on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 9 PM on Bravo.
