DA’s Office Won’t Be Filing DUI Charges Against Christina Aguilera’s Boyfriend Over March Arrest

Christina Aguilera’s boyfriend, Matt Rutler, will not be charged with driving under the influence, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

A rep for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed no charges would be filed against Rutler, who was arrested on March 1 on suspicion of DUI in Los Angeles. The rep said the office came to that decision on Friday.

According to MTV.com, police sources said Rutler’s blood alcohol content at the time of his arrest was determined to be .06. The legal limit in California is .08, however, a person can be arrested even if the level of alcohol in their system isn’t that high, depending on their driving behavior.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Aguilera was in the car at the time and was also arrested and detained for public intoxication, but no charges were filed.

Aguilera seems to have bounded back since her arrest and her infamous national anthem lyrics flub at the Super Bowl earlier this year. Her new reality singing competition, “The Voice,” where she serves as a musician coach alongside Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, premieres April 26 on NBC.
