Dave Franco Reveals Family Secret About Oscar Host James & Talks Emma Roberts Video Make Out Session

Former “Scrubs” hunk Dave Franco is heading to the Oscars this weekend to catch his older brother in action behind the microphone and the handsome actor revealed he’ll have a hot lady on his arm on the red carpet.

“I’m actually taking my grandma,” Dave told Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Wednesday, referring to Funny Or Die sensation Grandma Mitzie, who recently appeared in a clip with James, slamming those who couldn’t keep their eyes open through “127 Hours.”

“She’s gonna eat it up,” Dave said of how his grandma will take to the star-studded event. “She honestly might have the best night of her life. She loves this stuff and the whole family will be there.”

One thing the entire Franco clan is looking forward to is seeing James sing before a worldwide audience of millions, but even they aren’t sure if the “Milk” star’s pipes will be perfect in time, despite his singing lessons.

“I don’t want to ruin anything, but from what I know about him, he’s a horrible singer,” Dave laughed. “But I don’t know, he might surprise me too.”

Beyond getting ready for the Oscars, Dave recently teamed up with Emma Roberts in the scintillating video for “Go Outside,” a song from the band Cults.

The video for the smooth tune is the second from MTV’s Supervideo project, which combines a hot director (in this case Patrick Hoelck), actors (Dave and Emma Roberts) and buzz-worthy music (the song from Cults).

Running off a French theme, the clip, already a hit for MTV, features Dave and Emma sharing a passionate kiss before heading out on the town in an older convertible. Dave admitted the clip, which was shot earlier this year around Los Angeles, was fun to do and Emma’s bombshell looks in the video weren’t lost on the former “Greenberg” and “Charlie St. Cloud” actor.

“Super cute girl,” he said.

Dave said despite his on-screen chemistry with Emma, the two are just pals.

“I’m am not dating her,” he laughed, when Kit asked. “Very cool girl, very sweet girl, let’s leave it at that.”

Dave can next be seen in the horror film “Fright Night,” alongside Colin Farrell and former “Dr. Who” star David Tennant, which hits theaters on August 19. He also is planning more Funny Or Die skits.
