David Arquette & Courteney Cox Step Out Together At ‘Scream 4’ Premiere; Actor Celebrates Continued Sobriety

David Arquette and Courteney Cox were all smiles at the premiere of “Scream 4” on Monday night in Los Angeles, where the actor spoke candidly with Access Hollywood about his continued success with sobriety.

“It feels great,” David said of remaining sober for over 100 days. “I went through a hard time… anybody who goes through something like that will know that it’s difficult… there’s points in people’s lives where they have to take a look at their behavior, what they’re doing… what they want do to do for the rest of their lives, and for me it was the choice of sobriety.”

Adding, “I’m doing what I need to, everything I can to stay sober and just sort of be true to myself and authenticate myself.”

The actor, who is appearing alongside his estranged wife, Courteney, in the new installment of the horror franchise, said his loved ones have been extremely supportive.

“My family and friends have been amazing. I love them so much and I really… I just can’t say enough about how much I love them,” he said. “[Courteney is] a sweet amazing woman and… we’re family still, so no matter what happens, we’ll be kind and honorable to each other and be together forever.”

Access also spoke to Courteney on the “Scream 4” red carpet, where she talked about her recent vacation with her “Cougar Town” co-stars.

“We have a great time… it’s a good group of people and I just had a ball in St. Bart’s and, you know, that’s all it was, but we had a good time,” she said.

As for co-star Josh Hopkins, who she was photographed enjoying the waters of St. Barts with, Courteney added, “He’s great, he’s great.”

“Scream 4” slashes its way into theaters on Friday.
