David Arquette Injured In Head-On Car Collision In Beverly Hills

David Arquette was involved in a head-on vehicle collision in Beverly Hills on Friday. The actor is doing OK, however, his rep says.

“He’s OK and on his way to be treated,” his rep told Access.

The collision took place near the intersection of North Doheny and Lloyd Place in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The actor was photographed lying on grass next to the street and has reportedly sustained injuries, according to TMZ, who was first to report the news.

A witness reportedly told TMZ that the accident occurred after the car in front of Arquette’s suddenly stopped, causing the actor to swerve to the left into oncoming traffic to avoid a rear-end collision. He then “slammed into a car going in the opposite direction.”

The Beverly Hills Police Dept. confirmed the news, adding that they received a “Injury Traffic Collision” call at approximately 2:09 PM PST on Friday.

“Officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department responded to an ‘Injury Traffic Collision’ at the intersection of Elevado Ave and Doheny Dr. involving two vehicles,” the BHPD said in a statement released to Access on Friday afternoon. “The drivers of the vehicles were the only occupants; both were transported to Cedar Sinai Hospital with minor to moderate injuries. There were no other injuries reported. One of the drivers identified himself as David Arquette.”
