David Carradine’s Manager: ‘It Was An Accidental Death’

David Carradine’s death was accidental, a member of the star’s management told Access Hollywood on Thursday.

The “Kill Bill” star was discovered in his Bangkok, Thailand, hotel room earlier in the day, according to numerous reports. According to BBC News, he was found hanging by the neck from a nylon rope, but the spokesperson denied the death was a suicide.

“We can confirm 100 percent that he never would have committed suicide,” the manager told Access. “It was an accidental death. Everybody is in shock.”

Adding that the 72-year-old star had been “full of life,” his manager noted Carradine “was a wonderful person, an amazing actor, a great friend. Anyone who had ever worked with him wanted to work with him again. He was a very likable man.”

Carradine’s long career in film and television included a starring role in the 1970s series “Kung Fu,” and a more recent role as the title character in Quentin Tarantino’s two “Kill Bill” films, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe.

At the time of his death, he was on location for his latest film, “Stretch.”
