David Hasselhoff: I Want To Star In Les Miserables Movie!

When you think of “Les Miserables,” do you wish the famed musical had a little Hoff in it? If so, you’re not the only one.

The man himself, David Hasselhoff, also believes the iconic role of Jean Valjean could use a touch of Hoff magic.

“I would have loved to have been in ‘Les Miserables,’ I see that’s coming out,” he told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, referencing Universal’s upcoming big screen adaptation of the Victor Hugo novel, starring Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman.

The actor also admitted he’s got a bit of professional jealousy toward Hugh. (Is the Australian Tony-winner’s stellar career hassling The Hoff?!?)

“Hugh Jackman is terrific actor, a terrific singer,” he said. “He always gets the roles where I’m like, ‘Oh man!’”

But never fear, Hoff fans, the former “Knight Rider” star said there’s always a chance he’ll get to fulfill the dream he dreamed – on the Great White Way.

“I love ‘Les Mis.’ It was a role that I always wanted to do on Broadway, but never got the chance to do,” he said. “I did ‘Chicago’ and ‘Jekyll & Hyde’ on Broadway.”

Also on David’s role wish list is to play a police officer in Los Angeles, like Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena in “End of Watch.”

“I’d love to do a movie about being a cop in South Central, or like, Hollywood Vice. I’d love to be a cop in Hollywood,” he said. “It’s so gritty. It’s so much fun to play something gritty or to play a bad guy.”
