David & Victoria Beckham Argue On ‘Ellen’; David Shares Upside Of His Injury

David Beckham opened up about some of his home habits in an interview that was taped for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday, but his story raised the eyebrow of his wife Victoria.

The soccer hunk stopped by the funny lady’s daytime talk show, and his wife watched from the audience when he told Ellen something, which Posh considered a fib.

“What do you do that drives her crazy?” Ellen asked during the taping, set to air on Wednesday.

“I’m very tidy and she’s not,” David said.

After hearing her husband’s answer, Victoria couldn’t help herself and chimed in from the audience with her version of events.

“He always says that he is tidy, but you’re not actually that tidy, are you David?” Victoria asked.

The Galaxy soccer star wasn’t prepared, however, to let his wife’s version of their inner household workings stand.

“We’re going to have our first argument in 11 years,” he laughed, referring to how long the couple has been married.

In addition to David’s debatable home habits, he also opened up to Ellen about his near-career ending sports injury – a ruptured Achilles tendon — that kept him out of this summer’s World Cup.

“They turned around to me and said you might not play before 8 – 9 months,” David told Ellen. “I’ve never been out for so long before. So, I kind of had to get myself around that because, like I said, I never had such a bad injury. There were moments when I thought, ‘Maybe I won’t play again,’ but I had so many positive people around — my friends, my family, my children, my wife.”

While he was healing, David said he took the opportunity to do a little giving back.

“The good thing actually, if there is a good thing about my injury — having the time off gave me the chance to do things I couldn’t do while I was playing,” he said. “I went to Afghanistan to visit the troops for four or five days, which is one thing I always wanted to do and never [have] been able to do.”
