Daytime Talk Changes: Bertinelli Out, Gilbert In, McCarthy Show TBD

With Oprah Winfrey slated to leave daytime talk television at the end of the 2010-2011 television season, a host of newcomers are throwing their hats in the daytime talk show ring, but Valerie Bertinelli won’t be amongst them.

Despite reports that the “Hot In Cleveland” star was part of a show CBS was developing with Australian TV host Rove McManus, a rep for Valerie told Access Hollywood the program is no longer in development.

Still in the running, however, is the possibility of a Jenny McCarthy talk show.

In response to a report that her talk show was also dead, a rep for Jenny told Access that the mother-of-one still has an active production deal with HARPO.

In related news, CBS announced on Wednesday the hosts of a new daytime mom-centric talk show they will launch in Fall 2010. The one-hour show will be hosted by former “Roseanne” star Sara Gilbert (also executive producer), Holly Robinson Peete, Sharon Osbourne, former “King of Queens” actress Leah Remini, Broadway’s Marissa Jaret Winokur and “Big Brother” host Julie Chen.

In a release, the network said the show would look at events “through the eyes of mothers.”

Access Hollywood Live will also launch this fall on September 13, airing initially in 13 markets across the country, including six of NBC’s Local Media stations and six FOX-owned stations.
