Dean McDermott Talks Candy & Tori Spelling’s Reconciliation: ‘There’s Been Communication’

Dean McDermott has said his wife, Tori Spelling, and her mother, Candy Spelling, are keeping mum about their recent move toward rekindling their relationship after being estranged for some time.

“There’s been communication,” Dean confirmed to Access Hollywood at the “Santa Baby 2: Christmas Baby” event with his co-star, Jenny McCarthy, on Monday morning in New York City.

Dean, who has two children with Tori – son Liam, who turns 3 in March, and Stella, 18 months — said Grandma Candy recently visited with the tots.

“Candy’s seen the kids and that’s what’s important,” he said.

While the two women both previously spoke out publicly about their estrangement over the years, Dean said they are taking it slow, and keeping things quiet this time around.

“We’ll see where it goes and we’ll just keep everything private the way it should be,” he said.

Dean added during his appearance on “Today” that Tori and Candy are “working towards stuff. Candy is seeing the kids so we’ll try and keep everything private and positive.”

After seeing Dean on “Today,” Tori complimented her man.

“love you in a Cardigan,” she posted on her Twitter account. “Oh hell, I just love ya period.”

Dean’s “Santa Baby 2: Christmas Baby” airs December 13 on ABC Family.
