Debi Mazar Eliminated On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Tough-talking actress Debi Mazar was eliminated from “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday evening.

Debi’s departure also takes her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, out of the game, but she told the show co-hosts, Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris that she was glad she got to spend so much time with the professional dancer.

“Well, I definitely know a few more steps and I’ve had a great time,” Debi said after the news was announced. “I’ve loved every moment of it. I have great, you know, new friends, and Maks, I’ve loved my time with Maks.”

And Debi wasn’t the only contender to go.

Tom DeLay was forced to withdraw from the competition due to stress fractures in both of the Republican’s feet.

“You can’t practice, and if you can’t practice you’ll make a fool of yourself out here and I don’t want to do that to Cheryl because she’s so great,” Tom said when he announced on Tuesday’s show he was leaving the competition.

It wasn’t immediately clear how having an extra contender leaving so early will affect competition in the weeks ahead and the show’s co-hosts didn’t address the issue.

“DWTS” returns next Monday when the remaining couples will try out several dances never before seen in the show’s competition including the Charleston, the bolero, the country two-step and the lambada.
