Demi Lovato was not a fan of Lady Gaga’s recent SXSW antics, where the “ARTPOP” singer was vomited on during her performance at the festival.
In a flurry of Tweets on Friday, Demi, who has been vocal about her personal struggles with bulimia, explained her feelings.
“Sad… As if we didn’t have enough people glamorizing eat disorders already,” she wrote. “Bottom line, it’s not ‘cool’ or ‘artsy’ at all.”

Adding, “Would you let someone bring a needle and shoot up on you? Addiction is addiction.”

The “Never Been Hurt” singer was quick to clarify that she was not attempting to be mean-spirited toward Lady Gaga.
“It’s not ‘shade’ and it’s not ‘hate’. But someone has to come forward and say it and I’ll take the heat for it,” she wrote.
Demi even Tweeted at Mother Monster herself, writing, “@ladygaga you’re SO talented, if not one of the most talented in our industry PERIOD. Dope is INCREDIBLE. but you don’t have to do that.”

“Ps. I’m still a little monster myself,” she later added.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, during Lady Gaga’s Thursday night set at the SXSW festival, “vomit painter” Millie Brown assisted the singer onstage during “Swine.” Brown proceeded to drink a full bottle of neon green liquid before forcing herself to throw up on Gaga while she played the drums.
