Diane Von Furstenberg In Running To Make Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Day Dress

Now that the presidential race is over, the race to be Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Day dress designer is officially on.

And among the designers hoping to provide the First Lady’s fashion is Diane von Furstenberg, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The fashion legend was one of several designers asked to submit a sketch for President-elect Obama’s wife, and the country’s future First Lady, Michelle, a DVF rep confirmed to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush.

The final stitch, however, has not been sewn in the story.

According to the DVF rep, they are not aware if a designer has yet been chosen.

Michelle Obama wore a black and red Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2009 collection dress on Election Day, which was met with mixed reviews.
