Did David Hasselhoff’s Daughter Attempt Suicide?

Did David Hasselhoff’s daughter try to kill herself or did he lie to police about what really happened?

But what began as a call to 911 has turned into a nasty game of he said/she said between Hasselhoff and his ex-wife Pamela Bach and caught in the middle is their 14-year-old daughter Hayley (pictured far left with David and sister Taylor).

It all happened at the home of Bach and their two daughters. Access confirmed the former couple’s youngest daughter, Hayley, was taken to the hospital on Sunday night.

But why? That’s where the intrigue begins.

Access confirmed there was a 911 call made around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday by Hasselhoff saying that Hayley had “cut herself” eluding to a suicide attempt.

After Hayley was treated, the case was reportedly handed over to the mental evaluation unit of the LAPD.

Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts spoke to a neighbor who was walking by at the time the ambulance and rescue team arrived and overheard something on the radio.

“I heard them say it was a possible suicide,” neighbor Mike McKelvy told Tony.

According to Hasselhoff’s publicist, David spent Sunday with his daughters before boarding a plane bound for overseas. He received a call from his oldest daughter saying that Hayley was bleeding after their cat scratched her forearm. That is why and when Hasselhoff called 911.

But in a bizarre twist on Monday, Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela, who shares custody of their two children (an agreement which came after a bitter divorce settlement) said Hasselhoff’s call to 911 was made out of spite.

According to Pamela, David used his daughters as a “pawn.” When Pamela alerted David to Hayley’s cut from the cat, she claims David then called in a suicide attempt to make her look like an irresponsible parent.

Hasselhoff’s publicist released the following statement to Access Hollywood:

“Upon boarding an overnight flight for overseas last night, Mr. Hasselhoff received a call from his oldest daughter alerting him that his younger daughter had been playing with the dog and cat at her mother’s home in the San Fernando Valley. The cat gave her a severe scratch on her forearm and she was bleeding. Mr. Hasselhoff did what any responsible parent would do, he called 911 to report the incident and asked if they would send someone to check up on his child. They responded and she was taken to a local hospital, treated and released shortly thereafter. She is currently at her mother’s home. Fortunately, the scratch was superficial. Mr. Hasselhoff was told that his daughter was fine and he proceeded to board the flight. Mr. Hasselhoff spent the afternoon with his daughters prior to leaving town on business.”

Hasselhoff was on his way to Spain to attend the San Sebastian Film Festival where “Click” was being screened.
