Did Diane Von Furstenberg Post A Photo Of Bruce Jenner In A Dress?

Did Diane von Furstenberg really post an image with Bruce Jenner’s face photoshopped over the body of a woman in a dress?

That was the rumor going around on Tuesday, after a screengrab of what appears to be the official DVF Instagram page showed a black and white photo of Diane’s iconic 1974 ad, promoting her famous wrap dresses, with Bruce’s face superimposed over her own. The post included the caption “love Diane” .

The tagline to the iconic ad featuring the designer herself? “Feel like a woman – wear a dress.”

The caption on the apparent DVF Instagram read, “Bruce Jenner… You are the woman you wanted to be ! I salute your strength, courage and honesty. By speaking out, you have spoken for so many who suffer.. … Love Diane.” The photo then tagged @kimkardashian and @kendeljenner (notice the misspelling on Kendall’s name).

Although questions about the post – which does not currently appear anywhere on the official DVF Instagram account – remain, other Instagram users have reposted the photo on their own pages.

When asked specifically by Access Hollywood for comment on the Instagram photo, Diane had only this to say:

“I admire Bruce Jenner’s strength, courage and honesty and have so much respect [for] him using his voice to speak for people who have none. I wish him nothing but a lifetime of happiness.”
