Dish Of Salt: Talking Bridezillas, Bags & Halloween Treats With Three TV Ladies

“Hope”-ful Halloween!

You are never to old to celebrate Halloween… At least, not according to Cloris Leachman! The 84-year-old spitfire is having the time of her life playing Maw Maw on FOX’s “Raising Hope.” Unfortunately, Maw Maw suffers from dementia and in a special Halloween themed episode (airing next Tuesday night, October 26) Maw Maw believes she is a nine-year-old little girl and demands to be taken trick-or-treating by her daughter (played by Martha Plimpton). Needless to say, things don’t go so well. I was invited exclusively to the set for the episode. Find out why the night went awry and how trick-or-treating turned into toilet papering HERE.

“Better With” A Yankee Fiancé!

Last night, the Yankees beat the Texas Rangers in game 5 of the ALCS, which aired on TBS. Now, what does this have to do with my TV newsletter today? Well, it meant that poor JoAnna Garcia had to choose between watching her fiancé, Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher or, her own ABC sitcom, “Better With You.” Both were airing at the exact same time. I’m thinking since she filmed the episode and already knows what happened, she chose to tune into the game. Will she be there if the Yanks make it to the World Series? I was on set last week with JoAnna and her co-star Jake Lacy to find out. Plus, with wedding plans underway for Nick and JoAnna, does she admit to being a Bridezilla? Check out our interview HERE.

Tenley’s Bridal Dreams

Speaking of Brides, yesterday via Twitter I stumbled upon photos of “Bachelor Pad” cutie Tenley Molzahn posing in a wedding dress. Could a wedding already be in the works for Tenley and her “Bachelor Pad” beau Kiptyn Locke? Nope. A friend took the photos just after she finished filming “The Bachelor” and way before she met Kiptyn. Check out the photos HERE.

A wedding PR company contacted the photographer and asked if they could use the photos. I chatted with Tenley yesterday to see if the photos might have scared off Kiptyn. Actually, it seems to have the opposite affect. Check out our interview HERE. Plus, find out what gift Tenley plans to buy her pal Melissa Rycroft now that she has revealed she is expecting a baby girl.

Tenley hosted a “Design-a-Bag” event for a group of her girlfriends courtesy of 1154 LILL Studio. The custom made bags are a huge hit with celebrities. Vanessa Hudgens, Carrie Underwood and Drew Barrymore have been spotted with them.

All the bags designed at the event will be sold and all proceeds donated to Young Survival Coalition in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Check out our interview to see why the cause is close to Tenley’s heart and to see the bag that Tenley designed for the event HERE.

P.S. Full Disclosure — She got a little help from me!
