“I am assertive and direct so if that comes across crazy I’ll take it!”
That’s what 30-year-old “The Bachelor” contestant Michelle Money wants the public to know about her being called crazy, after being portrayed as aggressive and somewhat ‘off her rocker’ on the love fest reality show.
In an interview on Wednesday morning, Salt Lake City native Michelle told me she believed the show portrayed her inaccurately, but she had no hard feelings towards the shows producers.
“I do feel like I was, but that’s what happens when you sign up for a reality show,” Michelle told me. “That’s part of the deal. I’m excited to show people who I really am. I’m not just that aggressive girl. I have a soft side. I have a compassionate side and a loving side.”
Michelle has not read any of the negative press surrounding her appearance on the show, and especially over her bashing of her fellow contestants.
“Well, I said the same things to their face. I would be doing their hair and their makeup and I’d be like ‘You look so beautiful….but I really hope you get sent home tonight,’” Michelle laughed.
It was Michelle who was sent home this week, just barely missing out on a chance at the hometown dates.
In the episode, which aired Monday night, editing made it seem like she would not speak to Brad after he chose not to give her a rose. However, Michelle said that was not the case.
“I had some stuff to say. Brad and I had a good conversation that needed to happen and we had our closure and I then I went home,” she told me.
Her limo ride home (where she was shown sleeping on the seat) also seemed to imply that she had nothing to say during her exit interview, but that also wasn’t the case.
“I got car sick when I went home,” she said. “I’m the talker. I think everybody knows by now I don’t mind talking.”
Michelle admitted that despite giving Brad Womack the hard press during her time on the show, she wasn’t in love with him. Her drive to win his affection had more to do with her 6-year-old daughter Brielle.
“I had my daughter at home that I had left to go and pursue this relationship. I think I put a lot of pressure on myself because for me it was like coming home with anything less than a boyfriend or fiancé, I didn’t feel like it justified me being away from my daughter,” she revealed.
Her daughter is also the reason she would shy away from being the next “Bachelorette” if asked.
“I don’t know. Honestly, leaving my daughter for that long was really hard,” Michelle noted. “So thinking about doing that again and being gone even longer I couldn’t do it.”
However, then she added, “I can’t say yes and I cant say no. You can find love on that show but I think you can find love at a gas station. Anything is possible.”
