Mya & Dmitry Chaplin Leap Into The Lead On ‘Dancing’

After three rounds of competition – a first on “Dancing With the Stars” – celebrity competitor Mya showed she is determined to win the mirrorball.

Mya and her partner, Dmitry Chaplin, netted 87 out of 90 points for the night, after three magnificent dances that impressed the judges.

Mya stormed to the top of the leaderboard with two fancy footed performances on Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.”

The pop singer and her professional partner, Dmitry Chaplin, dominated the show, scoring 29 out of 30 for their first dance – a quick step, and a perfect score for their second number — a ‘70s inspired samba.

They may have tied last week for the top spot, but on Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars,” Mya and Dmitry Chaplin were in a league of their own.

For the show’s third week of competition, the duo stepped things up, stealing the spotlight with a sexy rumba. Their moves, fast and furious, left all of the judges marveling and left the pair with the first perfect 10s of the season – from judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
