‘DWTS’: ABC Boss ‘Feeling Good’ About Erin Andrews’ Return

Erin Andrews just landed a big new football gig, but that appears unlikely to change her status as co-host of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Following the ABC Executive Session at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, AccessHollywood.com asked Paul Lee, President of Entertainment, about Erin’s status on the celebrity reality competition, considering her new gig.

“I can’t go into the details, but I’m feeling good about it,” Lee said of the former “DWTS” contestant-turned-co-host, who, according to Sports Illustrated, is set to be the new sideline reporter for NFL on Fox.

The ABC exec said they were happy with Erin’s freshman season as a co-host alongside Tom Bergeron.

“We feel great about her and she did great this season,” he said. “We think ‘Dancing’ was a very, very good season this season. I mean, we cast it right, we had great stories as we went to the end. It was fun to see the guest judges there, so I think we’ve done a very strong job in our current alternative with ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Dancing’ of really keeping those franchises fresh.”
