‘Eclipse’ Stars Weigh In On Robert Pattinson’s Real Life Vampire Connections

Robert Pattinson doesn’t just play a vampire on the big screen – he’s related to one in real life.

Genealogists at Ancestry.co.uk, recently revealed that R-Pattz is related to Vlad the Impaler, the original inspiration for Dracula, but while Robert joked to Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on Thursday night at “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” LA premiere that his “middle name is Vlad,” he’s not the only star of the film series with supernatural connections.

“Twilight” elder statesman Peter Facinelli also claimed a kinship with another well-known vampire.

“They also did a study that I was related — it’s not known yet, but it’s gonna come out — to The Count from Sesame Street,” Peter told Shaun on the black “Eclipse” premiere carpet.

“When that hits the papers, the whole Dracula thing’s gonna go away,” he added.

Peter may not bear a resemblance to his purple puppet relative, but neither does Kellan Lutz, another “Eclipse” star who claimed to Shaun that he too has mythological ancestry.

“I’m also from Frankenstein,” the Calvin Klein hunk said. “Is that a good thing? I don’t know.”

While the “Twilight” guys may claim to be physically related to vampires and monsters, the ladies skipped the family connections and simply weighed in on Rob’s real family connections.

Bryce Dallas Howard, who just joined the “Twilight” franchise for “Eclipse” — as evil vampire Victoria, said she could see the relationship between Robert and Vlad.

“I was like, ‘How else could he channel a character like this? OK he’s related to Dracula!’ It makes sense,” she laughed.

Leading lady Kristen Stewart agreed.

“Well, [it] makes sense,” she said. “That’s you know…it’s kismet. It’s in the stars.”

Shaun asked her, however, if she really buys the connection.

“No,” Kristen admitted, before bursting into laughter.
