The first trailer for “The Danish Girl” has debuted and tells the true story of Danish artist Einar Wegener, later known as Lili Elbe, one of the first transgender women to successfully undergo a sex change.
“I believe that I am a woman,” the actor’s character says in the teaser. “This is not my body, I have to let it go.”

The “Theory of Everything” star reunites with his “Les Miserables” director, Tom Hooper, for the bound-to-be-nominated film.
After debuting this week at the Venice Film Festival, “The Danish Girl” will open in theaters on November 27.
