E.L. James Reveals Her Top Three Favorite ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Scenes

Author E.L. James handpicked three select scenes that stood out to her in the big screen adaptation of her book “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

“I have three favorites. I love the drunk dialing [scene]. Dakota [Johnson] is such a natural comic. She’s amazing. And I love the flying sequences. And there’s a particular shot in the red room that I like, but I won’t go into that,” she revealed to Access Hollywood‘s Tim Vincent at the film’s London premiere on Thursday.

E.L. – who is also credited as a producer on the project – explained to Access at a fan screening in New York City on February 6 that it was a collaborative effort to decide how the story would be portrayed in the film and she didn’t always see eye-to-eye with director Sam Taylor-Johnson.

“It’s a complicated process of butting heads and discussing ideas and what have you and eventually [you arrive] at a compromise,” she explained to Access. “Any creative ambition has that thing. Any film has that thing. You got the studio, production company, producers, actors, everyone has their say, so it’s kind of one of those things.”

“Fifty Shades of Grey” is now in theaters.
