Elisabeth Hasselbeck Gives Birth; Reveals Baby Name On ‘The View’

The “View” family got a little bigger on Friday as co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave birth to a baby boy, Access Hollywood has learned.

The baby, born in an Arizona hospital, weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was delivered without complications, according to a press release from ABC.

On a phone call on Monday’s “View,” Hasselbeck revealed the baby’s name was Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck.

Elisabeth also revealed she’d be returning to the show on January 6.

“Elisabeth and I are happy to announce the arrival of our son and we’re thrill he arrived safely,” Tim Hasselbeck, Elisabeth’s NFL quarterback husband, said in a statement released this weekend. “Both mom and son are happy and healthy.”

It is the second child for the couple, who also has a two-year-old daughter named Grace.

Elisabeth, who was originally scheduled to start her maternity leave on Nov. 9, instead temporarily left the show in late October.

“It was not easy to leave my co-hosts and our crew early,” she wrote in an e-mail earlier this week. “But it was more than clear to me that I want my family to be under the same roof when our baby arrived.”

Elisabeth announced her pregnancy on the show in April.
