Ellen DeGeneres Says Portia De Rossi ‘Might Be Doing ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Is Portia De Rossi heading to the ballroom to compete on “Dancing with the Stars?”

On Friday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” former “Dancing” contestant Kelly Osbourne asked Ellen if Portia would ever compete on the ABC reality series.

“I heard that Portia de Rossi might be doing ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” Ellen told Kelly. “She wants you to do it.” (is this latter quote correct? Seems weird)?

Kelly thinks Portia should have the first same-sex dancing pro as her partner.

“You should do it like they did it in Israel with the same-sex couple,” Kelly said. “I think it’s amazing. The dancing is so much better when they do the two women together. I’ve been watching it every week and it’s fabulous.”

Ellen, on the other hand, is not sold on the idea of seeing Portia dance with a woman.

“I think it’s weird. It’s not a romantic thing. It’s an art form and in dancing it doesn’t matter. We are just so used to seeing a man and woman dancing together,” Ellen continued. “I think that’s great that they’re going to do that. I don’t know if she is going to do it or not. She won’t tell me. We’ll find out.”
