Emily Maynard’s Mom Says Her Daughter & ‘Bachelor’ Brad Womack Are Still ‘Kind Of On & Off’

Brad Womack and the woman he chose at the end of his second run on “The Bachelor,” Emily Maynard, are still a couple… sort of.

“They have not officially broken up. It’s still kind of on and off,” Emily’s mother, Susan Maynard, told People, attempting to clear up rumors that the two had split.

Brad and Emily admitted on the show’s season finale earlier this year that they encountered rough patches and had even broken up at least once since the show finished airing.

The pair said they were working on their relationship, but Emily had said she wasn’t ready to move to Austin, Texas, where Brad, a bar owner, is based.

“I don’t think there is any rush to move,” the mom told the mag. “There are no plans to take Ricki, [Emily’s daughter], out of school.”

Despite Brad’s proposal when he picked Emily on the season finale, Susan said the couple is still in the early stages of their relationship.

“I hear nothing but good things about Brad. They are still just trying to get to know each other,” she said.

According to the mag, Emily will not spend Easter with Brad. Instead, she’ll take in the holiday at her mother’s with Ricki.

“I can’t say one way or the other,” Susan said when asked if despite not spending Easter together they would stay together. “I think they both have good intentions.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the next person to give love a chance on the ABC reality series is Ashley Herbert, whose season of “The Bachelorette” premieres on the network on May 25.
