Eminem To Release New Album This Year

The wait for new music from Eminem may soon be over.

The rapper is set to debut the follow-up to 2010’s “Recovery” sometime after Memorial Day this year, according to Billboard.

“We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013,” Shady Records President Paul Rosenberg told the music website. “He’s been working on it for some time. It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when.”

Adding, “We’ve got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we’re trying to see what else lines up.”

Rumors of a possible new album from the Missouri-born artist began to circulate a few months back after his merchandise store began selling a hat listing the years of “landmark Eminem solo albums” – the year 2013 included.

The “Not Afraid” rapper, who turned 40 in October, has been keeping busy working on projects through Shady Records, including hip hop group Slaughterhouse’s LP.

Additionally, he collaborated with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine on 50 Cent’s 2012 single, “My Life.”
