Eminen & Rihanna’s ‘Love The Way You Lie’ Video Debuts

The highly anticipated Joseph Kahn-directed video for Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie,” featuring Rihanna made its debut on MTV on Thursday night.

The clip, which you can see HERE, stars big screen bombshell Megan Fox and former “Lost” star Dominic Monaghan as a troubled couple, bringing to life Eminem’s raw rap — inspired by his own life — and an emotionally-charged chorus sung by Rihanna.

Inspired by Eminem’s lyrics including, “Maybe that’s what happens when a tornado meets a volcano/All I know is I love you too much to walk away,” the video provides a harsh glimpse into the combustible nature of abusive unions.

Dominic said the clip also took inspiration from infamous relationships in pop history.

“We’re supposed to be desperately in love, like Sid and Nancy, John and Yoko … Eminem and Kim,” Dominic explained to MTV of his role in the clip. “It’s the story of their tumultuous relationship, and it’s the story of the breakdown of their relationship.”

The hard-hitting material seemed to have struck a chord with Megan. According to Yahoo! Finance, the brunette beauty donated her appearance fee to the Sojourn House, a network of shelters for abused women.

Rihanna, who stands in front of a home that is burning to the ground in the clip, previously told Access Hollywood that despite her once-volatile relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, she did not shy away from the chance to be part of the song.

“The lyrics were so deep, so beautiful and intense. It’s something that I understood, something I connected with,” Rihanna told Access in July. “I knew if he sent me a record there must be something to it. It couldn’t just be, ‘Oh, Duh! She was in that relationship so we have to get her.’”
