Emma Stone Reveals Her Girl Crush — Christina Hendricks

Emma Stone may have gone blond for her role in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” but she’s partial to redheads and she revealed one flame-haired actress from “Mad Men” is her celebrity girl crush.

“Christina Hendricks. It’s a no-brainer,” Emma told The Advocate’s website of the shapely actress who plays top secretary Joan Holloway. “Everything about her does it for me. That’s my kind of woman.”

Emma is rumored to be dating her “Spider-Man” costar Andrew Garfield, but when asked if she was open to a same sex relationship, the actress didn’t say no.

“I don’t have a girlfriend. But who knows? You love who you love,” Emma said. “In some friendships there’s so much love between two people that there’s just a fine line. Hey, I have girlfriends that I’m incredibly close to, and there’s definitely a fine line there.”

Emma herself will next be seen on the big screen alongside Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake in “Friends with Benefits,” but she’s won hearts and legions of fans for her tomboyish characters.

“I’m so flattered,” Emma said of the attention for her strong, female characters. “The tomboy quality is probably coincidental just due to the fact that my voice hits male octaves most of the time. I don’t really think about it — I just respond to what I read — but I must be subconsciously drawn to women who, even if they don’t necessarily have their [stuff] together, are secure within themselves and don’t need a man to fix them.”

While she isn’t known for any particular causes yet, Emma said she likes to choose movie roles with messages.

“My ultimate goal is to continue doing movies with some sort of message that can make a change, like ‘Easy A’ or ‘The Help.’ Because that’s what good movies do for me: They teach me and bring injustices to my attention,” she said.

“Friends With Benefits” hits theaters on July 22.
