Eric Roberts: ‘I’ve Been A Pot Head Almost All My Life’

“The Expendables” actor Eric Roberts opened up to Access Hollywood about his history with drugs at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday.

“I’ve been a pot head almost all my life,” said Eric, 54. “I’m not anymore, and it’s the first time I’ve ever done one of these things not stoned.”

Eric, Julia Roberts’ older brother, and father to teen actress Emma Roberts, recently finished filming Season 4 of “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew” on VH1.

“I actually went for Dr. Drew, but I stayed for the experience,” Eric told Access Hollywood. “It was incredible.”

Famed Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel was also one of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s patients this season, which has yet to air on the cable netowrk. When asked about the infamous party planner, Eric said, “We all loved her… she was great.”

A recovering addict himself, Eric offered his thoughts on Mel Gibson’s recent woes.

“It’ll just teach you… don’t talk on the telephone about anything, ever,” he said jokingly.
