Erin Andrews Explains Awkward Kiss Miss With 50 Cent: ‘It Was My Fault’

Erin Andrews was caught on camera in an awkward moment with 50 Cent at the Daytona 500 – but the TV beauty says no hard feelings.

The sports reporter was sifting through a large crowd — cameras in tow — searching for racecar driver Danica Patrick when she ran into the rapper, who leaned in to kiss Erin on the cheek as she turned her head the other way, dodging his pucker.

While the moment was dubbed contentious by media, Erin says she and 50 are just fine.

“It was my fault. I was rushed – none of the drivers were in their spot for the Daytona 500 pit walk. They were all in the bathroom,” Erin told Access Hollywood of the incident at the 2013 FOX Sports Upfront After Party in New York City on Tuesday, adding that the drivers were making a last minute restroom run as they have to spend nearly “four hours” in their cars. “Everybody was supposed to be in their spot and then they all went to the bathroom and I was screwed.”

Erin saw 50 through the crowd – a welcome relief, as none of her would-be interviewees were available.

“I went and said hello [to him]. We’re actually business partners – I’m one of the spokespeople for SK Energy,” she explained, referring to the energy drink company co-founded by the rapper. “He grabbed me, I went one way, they screamed ‘Danica,’ I whipped my neck, I got whiplash and it’s fine.

“As long as he makes me a lot of money with SK energy I’ll be happy!” she added, laughing.

The former “Dancing with the Stars” contender reiterated that though the exchange may have looked to outsiders like she snubbed the rapper, that was definitely not the case.

“He’s the best. I mean, come on,” she said.
