Eva Longoria Parker: ‘Desperate Housewives’ Set Not Hostile

Eva Longoria Parker is staying neutral when it comes to Nicollette Sheridan and the lawsuit she filed against “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry – and says the set of their hit ABC is not hostile.

“I really got blindsided by it so I didn’t know,” Eva told Ellen DeGeneres during an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” airing on Monday. “The only thing I can say is we don’t have a hostile set and Marc’s really nice and Nicollette’s a nice girl too.”

Eva, who was not on set when the alleged incident occurred in September 2008, said the cast is trying to not get involved.

“We’re just kind of staying out of it,” she said referring to Nicollette’s claims that Marc struck her “across the head and face” on the set – and once she complained, she was fired from the show.

”[We want to] protect our work because we love it,” she said. “We love going to work everyday.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Eva said earlier this week that she’s had no contact with Nicollette since the blonde bombshell left the ABC series.

“I haven’t talked to her since she left the show… we used to be really friendly when she was here, but she was kind of on vacation for awhile, so I haven’t seen her around in LA,” Eva said. “I would love to see her to find out if everything is OK.”
