Eva Mendes is having her first Mother’s Day this year, but the actress revealed she’ll be putting the focus on someone else.
“There is no plan,” Eva, who welcomed her first child with Ryan Gosling in September, said on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live, where she showed off her new collection for New York and Company.
“I kind of feel like I haven’t quite earned my stripes yet in a way. She’s seven months [old],” the 41-year-old said of daughter Esmeralda.

This year, Eva is going to honor her own mom on the special day.
“This Mother’s Day is definitely all about my mom,” she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover. “She’s had a really hard year. My brother’s sick, so it’s all about my mom, honoring her. We’re all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love.”
Eva and Ryan started dating in 2011 after co-starring as parents in “The Place Beyond the Pines.”
