Author E L James was delighted by the “Saturday Night Live” fantasy ad over the weekend that promoted her book, “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
“I laughed my socks off,” the author told Access Hollywood on Monday in New York City, as she took part in a private party for her book, hosted by DivaMoms.com.
For those who missed the steamy skit, Kristin Wiig played a mom who had some very intimate personal time with the saucy novel, only to be interrupted by her kids and her husband, played by fellow “SNL” cast member Jason Sudeikis. Also included in the skit were Vanessa Bayer, who gets interrupted by her family during some private time in the bathtub, and Nasim Pedrad as an older mom, whose son surprises her in the laundry room.
Beyond her reaction to the “SNL” skit, the author also noted she’s been watching Access Hollywood’s recent interviews with stars who’ve been intrigued by the big screen role of Christian Grey.
“I have watched many of your castings,” the author said, clearly delighted by the attention.
