Five Celebs Remain As Another Star Eliminated On ‘Dancing’

It was a thrilling Halloween night of competition on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars,” but one celebrity’s ballroom routine proved to be more scream than dream, earning them their ticket home.

(SPOILER – this story contains the results of Tuesday’s “DWTS.)

“Scream” franchise star David Arquette was axed from the competition, taking out the professional who won “DWTS” last season (with Hines Ward) – Kym Johnson.

“This whole thing has been incredible, I’ve loved it, but there must be a mistake because this is my show, I can’t be going home,” David said in jest, referring to a comment by pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy last week, after his partner, Hope Solo, received criticism from judge Len Goodman.

“No, I’m just kidding,” David, undoubtedly the cheeriest member of the Season 13 cast, added.

When David’s name was announced — he and Kym were in the bottom 2 with Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus — a shock went through the ballroom, prompting loud, lengthy boos from the audience.

David, however, remained in high spirits.

“I came here to get to know more about myself, face my fears, entertain people, have America [get] a chance to get to know me better, and learn how to dance,” he said.

The actor added he planned to dance much more with Kym in the future.

“Thank you so much, you’ve been so sweet and patient with me and I plan on dancing with you a lot more – if you’ll have me,” he said.

“Of course I will,” Kym said, as she hugged him.

It did not appear that his devoted daughter, Coco Arquette, was in the audience to see dad eliminated.

While David is out, HLN host Nancy Grace appeared surprised that she made it through another week.

As cameras cut to her, she was embraced by her fellow “DWTS” cast mates, and she pretended to collapse into one of the professional’s arms.

“DWTS” returns on Monday at 8/7 C on ABC.
